Kompanzasyon panosu, also known as a power factor correction panel, is an electrical panel used to perform power factor correction in electrical systems. Power factor is the ratio of active power (watts) to reactive power (volt-amperes reactive, VAR) in an electrical circuit. An ideal power factor is 1; however, in practice, most electrical loads are inductive (such as inductors), so the power factor can be less than 1.

According to the penalty rates for reactive energy, all facilities with installed power above 9KVA can draw a certain amount of reactive energy in accordance with the reactive energy tariff applied by the EPDK (Energy Market Regulatory Authority). The compensation panel increases the power factor in the system and improves energy efficiency by correcting this reactive power. These panels work automatically to balance reactive power in the system using components such as capacitors. As a result, energy losses in electrical systems decrease, efficiency improves, and electricity bills decrease.
